a D&D London restaurant

Three passions – great food, great company and great art

avenue paul main

Avenue is proud to display seasonally changing artwork, which encompasses painting, photography, drawing and prints – all available to buy from The Art Movement.

We are now exhibiting Paul Lemmon’s “Suits” and “Holiday” until 17 May.

Paul is a self-taught artist who recently won the RK Harrison prize at the National Open Art Competition. He works from his own photography acquired while soaking up the culture and colour of city life. His energetic technique – painting very rapidly with vigorous strokes of oil paint in vivid hues – embodies the immediacy and spontaneity of his subject. Characterised by eccentric angles and ruthless cropping, his paintings reverberate with a seductive, cinematic urgency.

Avenue is perfectly located for a day of sightseeing in some of London’s most notable galleries. We are just a five-minute walk from the Royal Academy of Arts, you will find the National Portrait Gallery and the Mall Galleries just along Pall Mall, and a 10-minute bus ride away is the Victoria and Albert Museum. Our set lunch menu, £19.50 for two courses, is the perfect accompaniment to any day out in London.
