The London Library, a long-time resident of St James’s Square, Piccadilly, celebrates its 175th anniversary this year, since its founding in 1841. Over the past 175 years, it has firmly established itself as one of the greatest literary institutions in the world.
During a very special weekend from 5th – 8th May, St. James’s Square Gardens will play host to WORDS IN THE SQUARE with a 300 seat marquee playing host to 50 of the biggest names in literature and the arts, for a weekend of events, talks and debates commemorating the 175th anniversary.
There will be 17 fascinating talks, debates and events across the weekend, covering subjects as diverse as literature and writing, history, art, comedy, science, the creative process, cricket and much more.
